I have been taking a cake decorating class with my sister Mary and dad. We just finished our fondant and tiered cake class and will probably start the next course in October. It has been so much fun to learn how to decorate cakes and it has also been a fun bonding experience. Lets be honest though my dads cakes always turn out so much prettier, me and Mary are a little jealouss. In my tiered cake picture my little cake on top was ready to collapse that why it looks a little weird.
This last Friday we went one a hike to Stewart fall. It was a lot of fun. I had done the hike before but it was when I was little so I was not sure where it started. We asked a few people before we left so we would have an idea on where to park. So we parked at Sundance and started heading up. We asked the guys who were working the left if we were going up the right hill and they said yes. We headed up and it took us to the amphitheater, those liars. So we walked down and started on the other path. We ran in to a couple and asked them where it started and they told us where to go. We walked probably a half mile and got to a dead end. So before we even started the real hike me and my mom were already worn out. We walked back to the car and drove up a little higher and finally found where we needed to go. Devin and I were babysitting our nephew Dylan so we brought him along for his first hike. He is such a good baby and just hung out most of the time. I borrowed one of those little font packs that you can put babies in from one of my friends (Devin hates them), so that is how I carried him up. On the way down Devin wanted to give him a break from being in the carrier so he carried him the whole way down. Devin's arms were tired by the time we got down. I kept telling him that I could put him back in and he kept saying no. I think he was just embarrassed that I was wearing it, it worked out great though. We also made my mom come along with us, she is so much fun to be with! My dad was going to come but he went golfing instead, I think Devin wished he was golfing also. It was a lot of fun though plus we got a good work out, out of it.
Devin and I met April of 2006(my senior year). We were engaged by July and married by November. I work as a receptionist at a OBGYN office and Devin is finally done with selling insulation wahoo, and is now working as a Physical Therapist aide for IHC. He LOVES his job!! He is going to school and wants to some day be a Physical Therapist. Some of my like include spending time with my hubby and with family, cooking, and going on walks. Devin enjoys starting new projects and riding his motorcycle. We have both started to enjoy running and riding our mountain bikes.
