Stawberry Days

Love Strawberry Days and it always lands on my birthday. Good thing I enjoy it.
Favorite part of the whole Rodeo, wild cow milking

So this lady came and sat down in front of us. I leaned over to Devin & Britney and asked if they thought it was that lady from Good Things Utah. They both had no idea who I was even talking about. Anyways it was her, and she was super nice. Devin had to keep explaining why certain things were happening in the rodeo to her and her husband.
Ha ha. I don't know why I am even putting this picture up because we both look crazy.

Run Devin Run!

Devin and his friend Jordan did a 10k up in Midway during Swiss Days. Devin noticed that there was a little race for 1-2 year old and convinced Britney to sign Dylan up. He got 3rd place better then the other two boys.
Every race Devin writes Bret 5 on the back of his leg. Britney wanted to do the same for Dylan and so she wrote Dad on the back of his leg.
Before
Go Jordan and Devin Go

Devin and his brother Michael did this Midnight Marathon that went from up Hobble Creek down to a park in Mapleton. The Winner of the race was the first person to cross the finish line after midnight. You were not suppose to use any timing devices and you could start any time. Devin and Michael finished 8 min after midnight.
Well the first race that Devin did was the Utah Valley Half Marathon back in June and he loved it. Yea I still don't get it, love and running don't seem to go together
They started a little above Vivian Park and ended at Provo Towne Center. I met them down at the Riverwoods to see how they were doing.

Well Devin did really good in his first race ever, that just so happened to be a Half Marathon. He did not want me to say what place he got but by the picture you can probably tell.

Random pics of Dylan

He loves whatever is Devins

Every Monday when I babysit him, the first thing he does when I am getting ready is heads to the closet and grabs these shoes. He then tries to tell me that they are Devins. One day Devin came home and almost every pair of shoes he has was out.
He thinks he need to close his eyes when we tell him to smile

Devin hate that we allowed this and that I even put the picture up. I have got to be honest he walks awesome in high heels. He can even run in them.

SUMMER

Well here is just a bunch of random pictures from this summer

Brody Celebrated his 5th birthday. I think this is the first time in 3 years that he did not have a Lighting McQuen cake

This was actually Jordans first time on a road bike. I love this pic LOL!!!!
Kayden really was enjoying his cupcake

Britney invited us to go to her work party. Dylan and Devin were having so much fun playing on the blow up toys
This is probably Dylans favorite part of summer. Every time we would walk in the garage or he would see Devin he would say vroom vroom and even make the hand motions.

Family Party!

For Whits graduation Dad took us all out to Brick Oven, yum!

Wyoming

Before Bret had passed away we planned to go up to Wyoming with him and Britney for the 24th of July. Bret's best friend Jack who is his old mission companion lives up there with his wife and little boy. After Bret's passing Jack still wanted us all to come up and I am sure glad that he did. It is so crazy how Devin and I did not even know him and his wife very well before we went up there but we were all so comfortable that it felt like we had known them forever. I was great to be able to take Britney and Dylan up!
Devin got the shaft in this pic, his was poopy!

So this is Jack and Heathers dog Juck. This was the hardest part of the trip for me. I am not a animal lover and especially not ones that pretty well live in the house and are almost my size.
Juck is a awesome dog though I do have to admit. He would let the little kids do want ever they wanted to him. Dylan LOVED the dog!!!
So I like rodeos but I think I like dressing up for them a little more then the actual rodeo.

This is my FAVORITE picture from the whole trip!! What a couple of cute cowboys!

This was pretty funny. They had wild horses and the contestants had to saddle the horse and ride it around the arena. These horses were not having it.
We had to ride a bus from the park in ride to the rodeo grounds. Dylan thought it was pretty cool that he did not have to be seat belted in.
LOVE!! Devin and his mom found these matching shirts and they just had to get them.

So we went to the parade on Saturday morning and this is one of the floats that we saw. They were advertising some night club. They people on the float all had beers in there hands and you could smell it so we knew it was real beer. When they passed us they started throwing the beer all over each other. They were so drunk it was kind of funny.

When we got home from Wyoming we were showing my in laws the pictures that we had taken. when my father in law got to this pic he said "who is that Chinese girl in the picture?" So apparently I look Chinese nowEvery time Bret and Britney have went to Wyoming together they have always went to this restaurant called Sanfords. It became Bret's favorite place to eat. We had to keep up the traditional and go. It was very yummy but not very healthy. Devin had a sandwich that was deep fried chicken on a bun with onion rings and deep fried pickles on top! It just makes me sick thinking about it. My meal was not all deep fried like his was. Anyways at this restaurant they had this life size wiener so Devin just had to get a picture next to it.

We went and fed the ducks and geese at this little pond. It was fun until the geese surrounded us and started hissing.
