Blakey Family Pictures

So a couple weeks ago we went and took family pictures with Devin's side of the family. Devin's mom wanted 16 pictures of each family for something that she is doing for Christmas. So for everyone else in the family that is easy cause they have kids. Well Devin and I had to be more creative. We had two different outfits and went to two different areas to take them. I felt like we were doing our engagements all over again but it was so much fun!!

We have started working in a multi level company called Maakoa. They had there launch party this weekend up at the Grand American in Salt Lake City. It was so much fun. It was a all day event. We invited our friends Jason and Jen to come up and have some fun with us.
Through the day they had different seminars, fun presentations, and we were also able to meet former Jazz player Brian Russel. Then they had a awesome lunch for us.
That night they had a big fancy dinner where we ate steak and lobster tail. It was delish, and no Devin did not even try the lobster tail. Lets be honest it was a little to fishy for me but fun to try. Its funny cause I don't think Devin has ever been to eat somewhere where they have more then one fork sitting on the table.
They also had some awesome entertainment. There was a guy named Jason Hewett who came and did impersonations of different song artists. He sounded just like them, it was hilarious. Then they had a acrobatic show from Vegas. I wish I could have taken pictures of that cause it was so cool.
We had such a fun time and are so excited about the products. They are so awesome!

Cake Decorating

I have been taking a cake decorating class with my sister Mary and dad. We just finished our fondant and tiered cake class and will probably start the next course in October. It has been so much fun to learn how to decorate cakes and it has also been a fun bonding experience. Lets be honest though my dads cakes always turn out so much prettier, me and Mary are a little jealouss. In my tiered cake picture my little cake on top was ready to collapse that why it looks a little weird.

Stewart Falls

This last Friday we went one a hike to Stewart fall. It was a lot of fun. I had done the hike before but it was when I was little so I was not sure where it started. We asked a few people before we left so we would have an idea on where to park. So we parked at Sundance and started heading up. We asked the guys who were working the left if we were going up the right hill and they said yes. We headed up and it took us to the amphitheater, those liars. So we walked down and started on the other path. We ran in to a couple and asked them where it started and they told us where to go. We walked probably a half mile and got to a dead end. So before we even started the real hike me and my mom were already worn out. We walked back to the car and drove up a little higher and finally found where we needed to go. Devin and I were babysitting our nephew Dylan so we brought him along for his first hike. He is such a good baby and just hung out most of the time. I borrowed one of those little font packs that you can put babies in from one of my friends (Devin hates them), so that is how I carried him up. On the way down Devin wanted to give him a break from being in the carrier so he carried him the whole way down. Devin's arms were tired by the time we got down. I kept telling him that I could put him back in and he kept saying no. I think he was just embarrassed that I was wearing it, it worked out great though. We also made my mom come along with us, she is so much fun to be with! My dad was going to come but he went golfing instead, I think Devin wished he was golfing also. It was a lot of fun though plus we got a good work out, out of it.

Vegas

So for my 21st Birthday Devin just had to take me to Vegas. It was a lot of fun. My whole family came down to play with us. The first night we stayed in the Excalibur and then the other nights we stayed in a condo. It was just a quick weekend trip.
One of the nights some of us went to the Knight Show at the Excalibur. It was way fun! It was really fun to go with little kids cause they just loved it. They serve you dinner while you watch the show, and you eat it without any forks or spoons. Well of course the food was not like the greatest but it was not horrible. We Thought it would be fun to buy little souvenirs. So all of us girls got crown, the little boys got swords, and the big boys got hats. Well I guess Justin just had to to be different so he got a crown (he thinks he is the king or something ha ha).
So Devin could not wait for my birthday cause he was so excited to take me gambling. So we were just walking through Caesars Palace and he wanted to show me how to play. We spent $20 in less then five minute. That it not my idea of having fun. Its hard enough for me to buy clothes that I really want, let alone just loosing money. So I never actually tried it cause it just makes me sick to lose money like that.

For Memorial Day we went down to Escalate to visit Grandma Dean with the whole family. It was a little crazy but still fun. The first night me and Devin wanted to sleep outside on the hammock. We went outside and put all of our bedding down except for our pillows. We went back inside until it was time for bed. All of a sudden we heard the pouring rain. We ran outside and got all of our stuff and rushed back inside. Luckily we had dry pillows. That night we slept on the kitchen floor without a air mattress. It was very uncomfortable! It rained every day that we were down there! Luckily we were still able to go slide down the red rocks and we went to Devils Rock Garden. It was just fun to see how much fun the kids were having. The boys were also very entertaining while they were trying to catch a lizard. So even though there were eleven adult, five kid, and two babies in a tiny three bedroom one bathroom house it was still a good time.

Who ever said EASTER was not a dangerous holiday

So for Easter we went to my parents house for dinner. It was so yummy we had Steak, funeral potatoes, pasta salad, fresh fruit, and deviled eggs. For dessert Mary made a truffle, one of my favorite desserts. It was a pretty warm day that day so I was wearing flip flops. So as I was helping and taking Whitney's plate to her I slammed my foot into the bottom of the fridge. It felt like I just stubbed my toe but I knew I had ripped something. I fell to the ground (did not spill the food)with everyone laughing around me. They soon stopped laughing when they realized how deep I had cut my pinkie toe.
Growing up we never went to the doctors so I'm not used to it. It didn't hurt to bad but I knew the cut was deep. All the boys gathered around to look how deep it was and when I herd my dad(the person who never took us to the doctors) say it was deep and we should go get stitches. We then left and went down the street to the Insta Care. They were able to get me right in. I was so nervous about stitches.
I got five little stitches on the side of my pinkie toe. I was so surprised when it was over and it didn't hurt to bad, I thought the worse was over. Nobody told me how I would feel after the numbing went away. I woke up that night every hour it ached so bad.
Well it feels fine now I just have to deal with the stitches for another week and wait to see the Insta Care bill. Who new it would be such an eventful easter.

Grandma Jeans Birthday Party

So two years ago we started a new tradition. Every year on Grandmas birthday all the girls in the family go out to dinner. Each year a theme is picked and we are to dress up accordingly. Due to Grandma and Grandpas new addition to there family (nuisance the sheep), the theme became "on the farm." This was the first year I dressed up and it was so much fun.
We went to Brick Oven for dinner and yes we got the salad bar. It was so funny watching peoples reactions as we all walked through the restaurant. By the end of the night Brick Oven was probably so excited to have us out of there.

Texas

I am so exciting to have a blog! I am not very computer smart so it has taken me a while.
Well life has been good. Last month we were able to go to Texas to visit Garret and Courtney and there families. It was so much fun! We were especially excited cause we knew that Texas is a lot warmer then Utah and we could finally wear shorts and flip flops. Well so much for that, it was freezing cold and very rainy. It was actually warmer in Utah while we were gone. It was just so much fun to see everyone and for Devin to get to know everyone a little better. All of are family in Utah were nervous when we came home thinking that Courtney would move another family to Texas. As of right now we are here to stay. She is so cute! It was raining and she was getting soaking wet but did not care. She actually fell down in the wet grass a few times. So of course they had to find the biggest corn dogs, do you think they ate them all? Nope!Well I guess I did't eat all of my food either. If you ever go visit Texas just plan on gaining 5lbs.

What handsome boys!
